What We Do
A car wash rinses the outside. Professional interior detailing systematically addresses every surface inside your vehicle — not just the visible ones. We remove contaminants that a vacuum can't reach, extract embedded dirt from upholstery fibers, kill bacteria and allergens with high-temperature steam, and condition materials to prevent premature aging and cracking.
The difference between a clean-looking interior and a genuinely clean interior is measured in what you can't see: dust in your vents circulating through your air system, mold spores in a damp carpet, bacterial buildup on your steering wheel. Our process addresses all of it.
Our Process
01
We photograph the interior, identify problem areas — stains, odor sources, pet hair concentrations — and walk you through realistic expectations before we begin.
02
Floor mats out, full interior vacuum from headliner to seat tracks. Pet hair is addressed here with specialized tools before steam penetrates the fabric.
03
High-temperature steam penetrates carpet fibers and upholstery, killing bacteria, mold, and allergens at the source. Hot water extraction pulls the loosened contamination out — not just to the surface.
04
All-purpose cleaner on hard plastics and trim, dedicated leather cleaner on leather surfaces, interior glass polish for streak-free clarity. Vents cleared with detail brushes.
05
Leather conditioner is applied to all leather surfaces to restore suppleness and prevent cracking. Fabric protectant on cloth. Final inspection before we hand the keys back.
Aftercare
Small habits between details make a significant difference in how long your interior stays in great condition.
Vacuum mats weekly — dirt acts as an abrasive on carpet fibers when ground in repeatedly. Remove food and trash the same day. Wipe high-touch surfaces (steering wheel, door handles, shifter) with a damp microfiber to prevent bacteria buildup. Small habits prevent the need for deep intervention.
Condition leather every 4–6 weeks — conditioned leather resists cracking from Illinois temperature swings and UV exposure far better than neglected leather. Apply a UV-blocking dashboard protectant to prevent fading and cracking on plastic trim. Park in shade or use a sunshade when possible to reduce UV load on all interior materials.
Blot immediately — never rub. Rubbing spreads the stain and drives it deeper into fibers. Use a material-appropriate cleaner (water-based for cloth, leather cleaner for leather). Address odor sources early — mold and bacteria in damp carpet grow quickly and become significantly harder to fully eliminate if left untreated even a few days.
FAQ
Standard interior detailing takes 2–3 hours. A deep clean with steam extraction takes 4–6 hours depending on vehicle size and condition. Severe pet odor cases may need additional time or an ozone treatment session, which we'll discuss upfront before starting.
Yes. Enzymatic cleaners break down pet odor compounds at the molecular level — not just masking the smell, but eliminating the source. Combined with hot steam extraction that penetrates deep into carpet and upholstery fibers, we address pet odor thoroughly. Severe cases involving extended exposure may benefit from an ozone treatment add-on, which we'll recommend if needed after inspection.
Yes — our technicians are trained in controlled steam application. We deliberately avoid directing steam at touchscreens, instrument clusters, head units, and other sensitive electronics. Steam is targeted at surfaces that benefit from it: carpet, upholstery, vents, door seals, and hard plastic trim. Electronics are cleaned by hand using appropriate products only.
Most stains yes. Very old stains that have fully set into fibers, or chemical-based stains from bleach or dye transfer, may be permanent — no amount of cleaning reverses chemical alteration of the material itself. We'll assess your vehicle's interior before starting, tell you honestly what's achievable, and set realistic expectations so there are no surprises at pickup.
Every 3–6 months for most drivers. Pet owners and families with young children benefit significantly from quarterly service — contaminant loads are higher and odors develop faster. Once a year is the minimum for keeping materials in genuinely good condition; less frequent than that and you're allowing bacteria, mold, and UV damage to compound between visits.
