What It Is
Paint Protection Film is a thermoplastic urethane (TPU) film — a flexible, optically clear material that adheres directly to your vehicle's paint surface. When a rock strikes the film, the film absorbs the impact rather than your paint. The self-healing topcoat layer uses ambient heat to recover minor surface marks and light scuffs, keeping the film looking new.
PPF is the only solution for preventing rock chips — no coating, wax, or sealant comes close. It's the physical difference between paint that chips and paint that doesn't.
Understanding the distinction: PPF is physical protection. Ceramic coating is chemical protection — it repels water, prevents UV oxidation, and resists chemical etching. They complement each other. For full protection, we install PPF first, then apply ceramic coating on top. The film carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, bubbling, and delamination.
Our Process
Full decontamination wash, clay bar, and paint correction if needed. PPF installs on corrected, defect-free paint — imperfections beneath the film are locked in permanently.
Film is precision-cut from a database of vehicle-specific templates using a digital plotter. Edge-to-edge coverage with no hand trimming on your paint.
Final IPA wipe panel by panel immediately before film application. No contamination, no adhesive failures.
Wet installation, carefully worked onto each panel. Edges are wrapped and tucked rather than trimmed at the edge. Heat gun used to conform the film precisely to curves and body lines.
48-hour cure before the first wash. Final inspection of every edge and panel under LED lighting. We walk the car with you at pickup and answer every question.

FAQ
7–10 years. Manufacturer warranties cover defects — yellowing, bubbling, and delamination — for this period. Rock chips the film absorbs are the film doing its job. The self-healing topcoat recovers minor surface marks with heat, keeping the film clear and clean throughout its life.
No. PPF is optically clear at arm's length. There is a slight surface gloss that closely matches factory. On matte or satin finishes, we use matte PPF that preserves the flat sheen of the original paint — do not use gloss film on matte finishes.
After. PPF is installed directly on bare, corrected paint. Once the film is fully cured, ceramic coating goes on top of the PPF. This gives you ceramic's hydrophobic and UV benefits on the film's surface while the film handles physical impact beneath. Never ceramic first, then PPF.
Partial front coverage takes approximately 1 day. Full front takes 1–2 days. Full body installation takes 2–4 days, depending on vehicle complexity, number of curves, and whether paint correction is included before installation.
They solve different problems. PPF physically stops rock chips, road debris, and impact damage — nothing else does this. Ceramic coating repels water, prevents UV oxidation, and resists chemical etching — PPF alone won't do this. For maximum protection, combine both: PPF on impact zones, ceramic coating over the entire vehicle including on top of the film. This is the most complete protection available and what we recommend for vehicles you intend to keep.
